Paintings on plywood

The paintings on plywood have been largely realized in the last three years of the Artist's life when the forces no longer allowed him to work on the direct sculpture of the stones. They are all chine and / or tempera on sheets of poplar wood or, more rarely, on pressed cardboard or masonite. The paintings on cardboard or masonite and those that represent female figures are largely attributable to the 50s - 60s, characterized by frequentation with the architect Carlo Mollino.
